Dr. Neus Marí-Mena, project manager at AllGenetics, will explain 'Why ecologists are enjoying NGS' at the conference organised by Portuguese and Spanish ecological societies.
Our project manager Neus Marí-Mena has been invited to give an oral presentation at the 4th Iberian Ecology Conference which is being held this week. The conference is organised by the Portuguese Ecological Society and the Spanish Terrestrial Ecology Society at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (Portugal). The main topic of the conference is 'ecology and social challenges'.
In her talk, Dr. Marí-Mena will show how the new sequencing technologies have revolutionised ecology and biodiversity research. She will summarise the main applications of next-generation sequencing for ecological research and discuss some of the drawbacks of NGS and how outsourcing can overcome these issues.
