The 21st edition of the EMPSEB conference will be held in Scotland this week
This year the European Meeting of PhD Students in Evolutionary Biology is organised by Scottish PhD students. The meeting, which is sponsored by AllGenetics, will be held at the University of Stirling.
The delegate giving the best talk of the meeting will be awarded the AllGenetics-EMPSEB Award 2015, that consists in a one-week holiday for six people at The Farm Cottage (Galicia, Spain). This is the fourth year that AllGenetics offers this award. The previous winners of the AllGenetics-EMPSEB Award were:
- Mareike Wurdack (Universität Freiburg) in 2012.
- Pepijn Kamminga (Universiteit Leiden) in 2013.
- Margo Maex (Vrije universiteit Brussel) in 2014.
EMPSEB provides a platform for PhD students studying Evolutionary Biology to present their work and to meet their peers from all over Europe. It takes place in a different European town each year and is organised by current PhD students in that country. The first EMPSEB was held in Zurich in 1995.
